A Little Bit About the Band ...
Ceol Gleann (pronounced "coal glen") is a Gaelic phrase meaning "Music or Sounds of the Valley."
The Hudson Valley of New York State has long held a history rich in music and the arts. Ceol Gleann, a not-for-profit
organization, is one of the premier pipe and drum bands of the Hudson Valley. They strive to preserve and promote the ancient
art of Highland Piping and Drumming through education, performance and competition.
Ceol Gleann is active throughout the year with appearances in parades, Scottish Highland Games, Celtic Festivals,
competitions and cultural events.

Ceol Gleann proudly wears the Irish Tara Murphy Tartan as its kilt.
Ceol Gleann is comprised of two unique bands:
A Grade 5 Competition Band, made of of serious and talented musicians who strive to excel and to better themselves in
the pipe and drum community. The Band started competing in EUSPBA sponsored competitions in 2007. That year
Ceol Gleann Pipes & Drums placed 18 out of 115 pipe and drum bands in the EUSPBA.

An Accomplished Pipe and Drum Band that entertains the public at events such as parades, Scottish Highland
